Community support helps Cheshire Medical Center provide and keep exceptional care close to home for all of us. Right now, Cheshire needs your help to raise $400,000 toward the purchase of a new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator for the Cancer Center.
The most advanced technology available
Cancer treatment can be one of the most challenging experiences of someone's life. When you make a donation to the Linear Accelerator Fund, you are helping Cheshire Medical Center fund the purchase of new, state-of-the-art equipment for cancer treatment. The new linear accelerator (linac) will join Cheshire's existing unit, helping us to expand the growing need for this type of cancer therapy, while also helping to minimize disruptions to vital daily treatments due to repair or maintenance needs.
Radiation therapy is a cornerstone of cancer treatment; it is used in more than half of all cancer cases. A linac delivers precisely targeted radiation to the exact site of a tumor. This precision prevents harm to nearby, healthy tissue.
There is a growing need for radiation therapy in our community and beyond. Together, we can ensure that every patient who receives a cancer diagnosis has access to the best treatment as close to home as possible. Please consider making a gift today in support of Cheshire Medical Center's Linear Accelerator Fund.
We will make a difference - one life, one treatment, one ray of hope at a time.
Craig Bell completed radiation therapy for prostate cancer in March 2024 and has a good prognosis.
"My story now continues, and God willing my son and two grandsons won't carry on this 'family tradition,'" he says.
Will you help Cheshire Medical Center purchase this specialized equipment?
Your support moves us closer to our mission of providing clinical and service excellence, collaboration, and compassion for every patient, every time.
Thank you.
