When you or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer, finding the right care is the most important next step. At Dartmouth Cancer Center at Cheshire Medical Center, we provide diagnosis and treatment in a compassionate, supportive environment, backed by a world-class team of specialists and researchers.
Our Keene location
Dartmouth Cancer Center is one of the nation’s premier facilities for cancer treatment and research. Our Keene location at Cheshire Medical Center’s Kingsbury Pavilion offers the same positive environment for treatment, cure, and recovery for patients with cancer. Each patient is seen as an individual, which means our specialists develop a specific treatment plan and then work directly with the patient, their family, and the referring physician to implement care.

Collaboration for the best care
Cheshire’s board-certified oncologists and hematologists, surgeons, and supporting team of diverse specialists work together to offer advanced cancer treatments to the Monadnock Region. We also work closely with colleagues at other Cancer Center locations to coordinate patient referrals, treatment, and education.
We offer care through every step of a patient’s journey, using advanced cancer treatments and state-of-the-art technologies. The coordinated care offered here in Keene includes the specialty areas of radiation oncology, medical oncology, and surgical oncology. Other personalized treatments are available through seamless partnerships with other Cancer Center locations. We work together to give you high-quality cancer care, as close to home as possible.
Your personalized plan of care
Every person’s journey through cancer treatment is unique, and we support you from the first time we meet, through screening and diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
We assemble a team according to your specific needs—bringing together a wide array of surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, pathologists, and other cancer specialists—to create a personalized plan of care for you, and support you every step of the way.
Cheshire also has an Oncology Rehabilitation program that provides personalized treatment, from diagnosis through all phases of treatment. Our oncology rehabilitation specialists are certified by the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute (PORi). Comprehensive support before, during, and after cancer treatment helps support healing and mental health or supports improved recovery outcomes. Early referral at diagnosis allows for a baseline assessment so our qualified team can tailor your treatment to your individual needs.
We suggest you join our patient support group, held weekly in the library of the Cancer Center at Cheshire Medical Center, each Wednesday from 1:30 to 3 pm. View event and registration information on our calendar.
Our Palliative Care program improves comfort and quality of life for Oncology patients and families with life-limiting illness or injury and complex needs who are served by Cheshire.
